So, leading on from some other posts... Is there a snobbery around BDSM? Do people look down on those who pay for services in the same way others view those that pay for sex etc? Would you not consider a personal kink relationship with a PD just because of what they do? Is the fact that a PD has a vast amount of experience and skills (usually!) offputting to potential subs/play partners? .. Just playing devils advocate, no reflection on my life.

I would love to say it isn't like that, but we all know *some* PD's do it for the money and not for the love of it. There's lots of us who totally love it, and only take clients into the kind of thing that interests them and that they enjoy.

i have done in the past
not at all. I would also say some off the time time as opposed to usually and experince is not always a guarantee of quality.

I think there is that snobbery from a few people but others on IC don't seem to have an issue with it. I agree with the OP about there being PDs out there just in it for the money - but others really enjoy it and the interaction they have with their clients What does strike me is that some of the more vehement anti PD stuff comes from people who have never visted a PD and have no sense of what a session is like. I totally accept and get that for some a PD session is not what they want nor is it their idea of what BDSM is about. I'd feel very much the same about some of the "lifestyle relationships" I read about on here I have little real experience of BDSM outside of seeing PDs apart from some quite gentle fun with a couple of girl friends. I wouldn't, therefore, feel qualified to comment on some of the things I read on IC about non PD relationships although some of it does feel a bit far fetched for me.
