Most of the time i use "Master" anything else just doesn't feel right now. "How lonely is the night without the howl of a wolf." ~ Unknown

By Her name or Ma'am unless we're playing Scrabble in which case Loser normally suffices... and I'm in big trouble now!

One addresses Her in the way that She desires. i feel the Ma'am term is respectful and can be used for other Dommes one meets

I used to think something like that when I was on the outside looking in. I thought all these honorifics were a bit pretentious. That was until I actually got involved in a D/s relationship, then it all changed. After having my bum whacked by a Domme I couldn't imagine calling her anything else but Mistress or something similar. Anything else just wouldn't have seemed right.

Interesting that loyal_micheal deleted his original post but as it had already been quoted by 2 other posters he then replies to it! Pro submissive & switch with great dungeon & LOTS of toys!

Sir is always Sir even in vanilla land I have always called him that without him having to ask, Mistress Geo is usually called Geo by us both but I often call her Mistress at home and I always call her Mistress in session or in fetish company. I work with Big John professionally and I always call him Sir too, even when meeting socially he isn't John to me but Sir. They've earnt my respect and I look up to them. Each to their own, you follow what you think is the protocol suitable for the occasion or the relationship, no-one is right or wrong. I've always called my dominants Sir if they've earnt my respect and I like to do that. I have made the mistake of using the names bitch n bastard in a really tough session and paid the price, but although meant at the time I have to remember that calling Sir and Mistress bitch and bastard are not safe words lol! Personally, I do not insist on being addressed as "Master" or "Sir", and have never wished to be addressed as such other than in play. "I am from nowhere and everywhere" Karl Lagerfeld
