The new decade blooms and with it hope grows stronger in my heart.
The "never again's" forgotten. The old pains not buried but put aside, the old scars no longer limiting my reactions or feelings.
Hope they say blooms eternal, I think they may be right, it's certainly a hardy plant that withstands far more rain than one would give it credit for.
I face this decade with joy, hope and love, tinged with a litle fear, because once again I am vulnerable and if the shoe should drop it would be extremely painful.
It has been at times a difficult year but one in which I have learned much and moved forward.
Roll on 2010 I'm ready for you.
