considering the state of the roads i dont think you will be the only one not able to make it. might be a quiet munch for those of us who do venture out.

So the munch is still on. I ventured into Liverpool this afternoon to find they had run out of grit yesterday - the pavements were incredibly icy and slippery, and some of the roads not much better. So I'm not chancing driving in, and the train needs a 15min walk at each end over icy pavements. If I do make it it will be in my hiking boots!
Who else is still going?

I'm posting this 24 hours ahead of the munch - Trains, buses and road surfaces are dicey tonight (Wednesday) but the best way to ascertain how things are is local radio or local radio websites tomorrow. I will post updates here and on Fetlife. What I can confirm is that I shall be at The Pan Am for 8. Townhouse has remained open as usual (tonight) and shall be for Radical Desire tomorrow. the roads in liverpool. they claim to be running out of grit for them. city centre has been virtually deserted today apparently. the main routes should be ok but some of the lesser roads will be well dodgy with ice. and judging from the news tonight even some of the main roads in town might be a bit dodgy. they claim they will get more grit down tonight and early tomorrow though so hopefully things should be better. they can have my FREEDOM when they pry it from my cold dead hands. | |||

doubt we will be able to make it as getting from central in this snow and ice think we would break our necks  but we will get to the next one was looking forward to seeing everyone after the new year NH and serenity |
