this is not a bleak blog about bringing in the New Year alone....so be warned...
like many others i will be alone tonight and like some others this will be through choice.
i have been very lucky to have be invited to celebrate New Year in with some extremely dear Friends.....but....as i can not be with that "special" One in my life i have decided that i would rather simply be alone....to bring in the New Year in the warmth and comfort of my own home, watching the fireworks across London from my balcony and i will raise a glass to toast that "special" Person, to bring in the New Year....and to wish ALL my very, very, dear Friends a better, brighter and more hopeful New Year, full of promise for all that might be.
i do not doubt that i will shed tears...
but i also believe that within that moment when the old year passes and the new begins, that i will feel an uplifting of hope, of new wishes for all the possibilities that the New Year might bring me....and to ALL those dear to me.
