As the year draws to a close i am sitting here and looking back. It has been a year of highs and lows but thankfully more highs than lows. In June we were seriously considering giving up the Ann and Roly's Kinky Play Parties as we had big issues with our venue. Luckily a swinging friend of ours told us about a venue that had just opened up. We had written to several people about venues and got an invite to go along and talk to Vic about his venue. He obviously thought we had some potential lol as he said yes we could hold our parties there, the only thing we had to do was change from the 1st Saturday to the 4th which wasn't a problem. Well since the move our parties have gone from strength to strength culminating in The Great Escape. That was some party. We have had so many good comments from people and we were overwhelmed at the generosity of our guests in bring food. We have a lot of tins of chocolates that will be making their appearance at future parties. We filled the freezer at the venue with stuff that will also be used at the next party. I don't know why i worried about having enough food. We have always said the success of our parties is down to the brilliant guests we get and we have made so many new friends to go with the ones who moved with us from the old venue. I would like to thank you for attending our parties, for being my friend and for making our parties the success they are. I would also like to thank Roly for being there when my husband died and supporting me through that for the last 21/2 years. Our relationship may have changed but you are still one of my closest friends and my partner in the parties. Together we will go on and make Ann and Roly's Parties an even greater success in 2010. We both know we couldn't do them without the other as we seem to combine the right qualities to make them successful.
I have moved on in my personal life and exploring my spiritual side which as you know from previous blogs has been the start of a fascinating journey.
I am looking forward to 2010 for all sorts of reasons knowing i have a lot of friends and my family supporting me all the way. so thank you to all my friends and i look forward to making many more in 2010 I wish you all a Happy Healthy Prosperous and Peaceful 2010 Ann xxxxx

You're a very special person to me and it's been a delight to work alongside you to achieve all that we have this year. It's certainly been a turbulent year. Those who are close to us will know just how turbulent, but it's a testament to you how we've remained such close friends and can still work together so effectively at our parties. Thank goodness you didnt give it all up in June, otherwise I would never have met you or Roly as I didnt come on the scene until August. Phew!!
I class you both as my kinky friends along with other lovely people I have met at your wonderful parties.

Dear Ann It has been a pleasure to know and work with you at 'The factory' I'm rather proud that I played some small part in your events continueing, it would have been a very sad loss to the kinky community you and roly have created, had they finnished back in June. but it wasn't rocket science, I consider myself a good judge of character and yours shone through as dedicated honest 'enthusiasts' who love what they do and who are loved by the people you do it for. On the personal front, others could learn a lot by your example and dignity. I look forward to an even better 2010. You're a Trooper. Ann, it has been a pleasure meeting both you and Roly. I can honestly say that without you both, I would never have made the leap into real-life BDSM. The friendly and supportive atmosphere at your parties has made this so much smoother and enjoyable (and occasionally quite painful *lol* ).
As a result, I know I can count you as true friends, and from the parties I have made many more friends in the scene, not least my play-partner Rocco I am so pleased the parties did not end, my life would be a lot less fun without them | ||
