De de de de de, de de de de-struc-tion? You have much to learn about classic 80s music, young padawan. Fear not, because your twentieth year will bring you much enlightenment (in the shape of an old lady who should know better).
I did wonder, briefly, if you'd encountered At Seventeen by Janis Ian a couple of years ago... but you're way too pretty for that song to have any resonance for you. Those of us whose names were never called when choosing sides at basketball feel it, though.
Oh, and - Happy Birthday, old trotter. Looking forward to your party!

"I learnt the truth at seventeen that love was meant for beauty queens," mais oui? I've cried in chocolate stained PJ's to that song many a time (all my childhood friends now have contracts with Storm or Models One). Anyway, it's my birthday and I'm nineteen now, I already feel filled with wisdom and stuff. Maybe... See you on the 30th, I'm so excited!

ROFL this reminds me of my schooldays. '19' by Paul Hardcastle was #1 in the charts when we were in the sixth form. The lyrics got changed in the common room to '14' to tease one of the guys who'd made a rather unfortunate misjudgement as to the age of a young lady he'd paired up with at a party one night! Anyway - you didn't find the famous song '19 strokes of the cane' on your search? | ||

...No. No songs about that. At all. None. All of us are in the gutter, but some of us are looking up at the stars. Oscar Wilde. |
