Supposed to be going to a friend's house tonight for buffet type snacks and drinks. I'm feeling much better today than I was yesterday, cold/flu wise but the snow may well stop me getting out.
There are an awful lot of cars parked outside, instead of away as they'd usually be at this time, perhaps everyone round about me has already started their Christmas hols. Or maybe it's the horrid white stuff that is clogging up the roads and stopping people going anywhere.
I haven't been out yet, haven't even had breakfast yet but I'm later on going to try to clear my path. I'm expecting a redelivery of a parcel and still awaiting the last of my planned Christmas gifts to arrive and so I want the postie/courier/whatever to be able to get up the path.
I can hear the bin men out there so perhaps the road isn't as impassable as it looks!
Maybe I'll get out tonight after all. Although it's anyone's guess as to how far I'll get!
edited to add: it wasn't the bin men, although there are now a set of tyre tracks leading right up the middle of the road.

I'm so gooooood, I've been out, cleared my path and the pavement outside my house. Then full of the joys of being outside in fresh air, I cleared the pavement outside the house next door where an old couple live. (I'm sure they often have offspring staying but hey they might not have right now). And if it wasn't for the fact that I like sploshy stuff and have a few packs of Gelli Baff in the bathroom, I might not have been able to supply enough salt for melting the ice off the cleared bits. The salt was bought to help get rid of the Gelli Baff and make it go down my drains that bit easier than using the tiny pack they give you. Luckily it hadn't all been used as Tesco had only Sea Salt when I was in there the other night, and I'm not buying that to clear a pavement or path! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | ||
