I quite enjoyed The Secretary but give me film noir any day. The original Bedazzled is much better. How can anyone think they can replace Peter Cook, genius. M Space travels in my blood. And there ain't nothing I can do about it.

Yes very much if you mean the '84 Ken Russell with Kathleen Turner and Anthony Perkins as the psycho priest. Also from memory I seem to remember a little known Scorsese film called After Hours with Linda Fiorentino as a dominatrix. Although nothing to do with BDSM I think Fiorentino's performance in The Last Seduction is BDSM in attitude, similar to those of actresses such as Googie Withers in the 40's and 50's. There is a wonderful scene in Exit to Eden, where Dana Delaney is exploring her submissive side. the guy in the scene says something like... "I am as Master, a Top. You are a submissive, a bottom. tell me your fantasies, and welcome to my world" another good scene is from Preaching to the Perveted, where Tanya stops Eugenie from cutting a girl. it demonstrates that all play has to be consensual. I think the film with the guy on the rotating frame may be Real Men with James Belushi. I remember being about 12 and watching that scene over and over again. Very powerfull stuff at that age. Paul "Chicks dig scars"

Off hand I can think of... The Cell - a not particularly good jenifer lopez movie that has some rather fetishy elements and lovely photography at times and One Night at mcCools whihc has Liv Tyler playing a Domme role to snare a lawyer (briefly). Lastly I've got a soft spot for 'Ilsa She Wolf of the SS' as a truly truly terrible film (i collect really bad film, when most folk say they 'saw a shit film last night' they really mean they saw a mediocre film - trust me watch 'Bronx Warriors' or 'Ninja Terminator' and you know what a really shit film is...) While Ilsa was banned its not particularly top shelf, just incredibly crass, overly sadistic and incredibly poorly acted and in poor taste. Semper in Excretum — Sed Altus Variat

There was certainly a vaguely interesting episode of the original CSI which revolves around a BDSM club/dungeon and Grissom's friendship with the dominatrix who runs it. On a completely unlikely note I'm pretty sure there was an episode of Midsommer Murders which involved a murder at a kink 'retreat' of some sort....Would you adam & eve it, as they say?... I don't recall Morse having SM related content - and I'm a bit of a Morse nut - but equally I'm getting on a bit and the old grey matter is not what it was!

I watched that at the cinema years ago... a very dull film indeed. I thought it was going to be quite 'wrong' in a good way but was just bored tbh. I was quite young at the time so perhaps I didnt appreciate its pacing or something but I do have memories of leaving the cinema wanting my money back.

A woman I knew through IC some years ago always said that McLintock - the John Wayne western - had had a profound effect on her when she was a child, because of the scene at the end of the movie where he drags Maureen O'Hara into the street and spanks her (with a shovel??) in front of the entire town...
