...by this Christmas tree!
For the past 11 years I have coped well with combinations of red, white, silver and gold. This year I decide to be smart and go for black, white and silver. It's a nightmare.
Progress so far; 2 sets of lights on (it is at least 6"), white snow skirt and varying baubles. Sounds Ok doesn't it?
When do you stop? What should I do in the morning when it looks crap by natural light?
Mental note to self - acquire a sub to do it next year, then at least I will have someone to blame it on.

Lol. I've just spent the afternoon doing just that for a friend. She sat watching a movie while I decorated Her tree so if it didn't look right it would be my fault. When I had finished it needed a little tweeking but it got the thumbs up from Her husband.

I'm sure it'll be beautiful, I've just supervised three children doing theirs. It's hideous. All of us are in the gutter, but some of us are looking up at the stars. Oscar Wilde.

Haha can't you rope your subby boy in for moral support? Or perhaps as the fairy?! Am sure it looks lovely - and Christmas trees are one of the nicest things about Christmas “I'm no angel, but I've spread my wings a bit.” Mae West

Unfortunately he has been busy with family matters of late.
I'm sure he'd be impressed by that...anyway cross dressing isn't my thing.

Shame. You'd look super in a pinstripe trouser suit. With hot underwear underneath. Rwawr! (My tree isn't very good. I gave up and was beaten. By the tree, anyway. But I've decided I like its homespun, "I've been decorated by a blind six year old" charm.)
