......i still have a swatch watch!....99 red balloons.

My intro ot the 80's was off the back of John Peel who was omnipresent and this song which was always his favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LAcEWMAqEM

These guys were a little too enduring for their own good, but hey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2xdCvhvyqY

i shunned the oddly named Joy Division who were anyhting but, and instead hit the heady precocious possibly pretentious art school cliqueness of U2, notable BOY, and latterly OCTOBER

This track from BOY makes you judder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cST0ruGpHi4 and this, likewise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRhVVdZmF8A

xx

I remember most of them.

Was thinking about my blue pixie boots today, strangely enough. I think the dog chewed them and I was mortified at the time.

edited to add, I used to wear them with my ra ra skirt or pedal pushers. Remember those?

Grab your things, I've come to take you home.

I was born in the '70s and most of those were before my time. :(

The seventies had some things that were still about in the eighties. I remember ATARI as a serious home computer. I still have one,a VELOCE STE 4MEG plus 4MEG fast ram.
