Try Barbie wrapping paper for ultra pink sparkly, from Disney shop. It's the best! (º•.¸(¨*•.¸¸.•*¨)¸.•º) «.•°•. Scarlet .•°•.» (¸.•º(¸.•¨**¨•.¸)º•.¸) | |

Nope! There's nothing wrong with pink as a colour, but (speaking as the mother of a young girl here) the wholesale swathes of pink which represent relentless gender stereotyping of everything children do are tremendously damaging and limiting to girls' horizons. My daughter (6 years old) already thinks she's "not a proper girl" because she doesn't fit into all the gendered behaviour already expected by her peer group - indeed she told me a few weeks ago "Mummy I don't fit in". So I'm glad there are people challenging the expectations and stereotypes which stunt young girls' expectations. AND I still like pink. "The unexamined life is not worth living" - Socrates |
