Every day we are surprised by the people around us.
A couple of months ago I asked for donations to the Christmas Appeal for Wood Street Mission.
All I wanted was to be able to help a few underpriviledged children enjoy the festivities a little more.
Last year we, as a group, had donated £345, and I had hoped to equal that this year.
However. later this week I will be handing over a cheque to the Mission for ONE THOUSAND POUNDS.
I genuinely do not know how to thank everyone who took part in the appeal, or gave either time or money.
I am truly bowled over by the generosity of the people of Manchester. the amount raised is far above anything I could have hoped for.
Thank you seems so inadequate at this time, but it is all I can think of to say.
A very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you.
