I figured I ought to say something about KINKY while things are still just about fresh in my mind (will be getting stale soon)
This was my first and, alas, last time at KINKY. When I arranged to know I knew this was going to be the last event and I thought it was a shame that a local event is closing just after I've developed the courage to go to events like this. I don't have a fetish wardrobe but I found it fun going as my profile picture 
After going I wasn't disappointed that hey were stopping the event, I was gutted! Socially, it was great. The environment was relaxed and two friends were also going. If you don't use/support local events you'll loose them - well I would have definitely made this a regular!
Club was more social than play, had some nice chats, also got to meet a few IC contacts. But there was a small, nice, play area where I was introduced to the wonders of the violet want 
.
I'd never really thought about them before but I'm definitely a fan now. Saw a friend who'd just been treated to the wand and was completely spaced, seeing the effect it had I mustered up the strength to give it a try.
I'm glad I did, I nearly subspaced. Not quite subspace but I was turned in to a grinning giggling buffoon for the rest of the night.
Met some more interesting people at the after party at Via, ended up talking about whether TV characters are Dom or sub. It certainly led to some interesting mental pictures, like Captain Janeway messing up knots in Japanese rope-work and still insisting she's as good as a dom as the rest of the Captains.
All in all a brilliant night out
So I've lost a great event that was within easy travelling distance
