What is it about the mind where it can trick you into believing something is real when logic tells you it's not?
I'm going through a messy break-up at the moment. Messy and nasty and really pretty stressful. My ex was violent towards me when I ended the relationship and threatened to kill me. Since then I have had to endure low blow after low blow, still trying to control me, clearly still angry that I had the audacity to leave him. And today I was faced with yet another round of vitriol. I won't bore anyone with the details, they're kind of irrelevant but irritatingly I'm sat here stupidly anxious.
It's insane. I see news reports of wives/girlfriends murdered and feel a shudder. A shiver of fear. Then suddenly I'm checking locks, hearing noises. Sitting here scared.
Fear is such a powerful and hateful emotion it makes you doubt reality itself.

Have you got anyone close-by that you can go see when you feel like this, or who can come over to keep you company? (More for your peace of mind than 'in case anything happens'.) Also, are the police involved? x ------------------------------------------ |

Hey, thank you for being sweet in my moment of insanity. I do have a few people nearby just last night there were none (isn't that always the case eh?!). The police have been involved but I think in reality it's just my mind playing tricks on me right now. DD x |

Hang in there... you will look back in a few years and see how far you have gone... Feeling for you.. I was there myself a few years back beaten, on bail for lousey low lies but the police and social services have to check these things out.Anything and everything he could think of to hit out and drag me down...Good luck hun x |
