Men in fetish photography (25)

Mostly I photograph men. In fact, I mostly photograph male glamour models.

And now I want to move onto fetish photography. No boobs in sight please.

But it strikes me, I've never really seen any great fetish images featuring male models on their own! In fact, I don't even really know how to approach this subject at all!

So, I'd love to hear any ideas that anyone might have. I'm not big on rope bondage, so other alternative suggestions would be welcome. I'm not looking to shoot pornographic, just sexy, erotic, fetishy images with guys.

Your thoughts?

I rather fear, Miss Felicity, that you can't really do that. Get your inspiration and ideas from others that is.

I think it has to come from you. Scary I know. That's why it's tough being an artist.

Don't mean to sound mean. But I think that is just the way it is, at root. Although you can always throw ideas around, discuss things, but that's different.

My object all sublime...

Yeah those are good, hmm I like chain for photographs and theirs something wonderful about a big powerful man looking at the camera with fear or apprehension in his eyes.

And last night, when my hands were choking you. Last night, when the room and your mood was dipping And last night, when the ropes were pulling you in…. You said, “Hey, how could you love me this way?”

Eh. Yes she can. Nothing is created in a vacuum. There is no divine voice speaking to you with the sound of inspiration. Everything that we see we take in, process and experience. If I had not read 5, 6 books a week during the time I worked on my writing, I would not have had the possibility to write anything but pointless diaryentries about the weather. What comes from me is not innate.

And that's not different from discussing or throwing ideas around.

Well exactly. I have a whole shelf of gay orientated art books that I look at before shoots, as well as a massive folder of pictures I've collected from the internet of great male photography. I use poses, lighting, outfit ideas etc from that set of resources.

But I've just not seen much fetish imagery featuring males!

I'm a big fan of some of Ulli Richter's images of men: Kink In Print

Yes some are pornographic, but he does capture sexy masculine fetish energy pretty well, in my opinion.

If you're not into rope bondage just get a few padlocks and nice big chains and then chain up your men before photographing them :)
