I have to go to hospital on Monday for a colonoscopy. Apparently I will be sedated before they insert the camera, and I will have to take vile stuff the previous day to make sure there are no impediments to its access. I have been told that I need to be close to the loo at all times and, in the 24 hours before the procedure I can only drink clear fluids.
I'm quite looking forward to it.
I have, for several months now suffered daily from griping pains and a need to be -to put it delicately near the loo. It's horrendous. It affects you entire life. I don't like going anywhere I have to travel to, and I don't like going anywhere where I don't know where the loo is.
So I haven't been out much. Originally I was afraid I had cancer, but the Dr has assured me that if that is the case it is highly treatable. And so my real fear is that, next Monday night I will be no wiser about what is causing this than I am now.
I feel tearful all the time, I feel humiliated, and I feel frightened .
Everyone says, don't worry, it's probably nothing.
Something/nothing the prospect of either is equally horrid.
sorry to whine.
thanks for reading if you got this far.
Love Mollie

Yes my daughter is coming up from canterbury and afterwards I need someone for 24 hours, and my son will help out there. Luckily my appointment is 4:30pm, so afterwards I will be able to go home to bed. :o) Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"/ Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."" |
