Even after more than 24 hours of rain, we don't have really serious flooding here in the south west corner of Cumbria. The local paper was being sensationalist yesterday about a few inches of water on the roads, but we don't have the rivers round here to lead to that sort of flooding.
No one has died here, no bridges have fallen, the worst I have to worry about is the loss of fixed line broadband, which is nothing. My thoughts are with the people in the areas that have been hit hard and the family of the police officer who died helping other people.
