Not been a regular visitor here for a while, real life issues have forced me to subjugate that side of me that belongs here. However, tonight I took a quick browse through the weblogs and was very disturbed to see a name I hadn't seen for a very long time, a name I recognised amongst the very many newcomers I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.
I went to the profile of the name I recognised and the wording is the same as it used to be…not much changes. Sadly this person is not what they purport to be. I have seen with my own eyes how very dangerous they can be…how out of control. Yet the profile reads so differently and I know there will be people out there who will be sucked into the fantasy the profile promises and who will come out of it, most certainly, not the same as they went in.
So many new people here, everyone, even the dangerous, can re-invent themselves and go unchallenged because of the AUP.
A warning then….Be aware….when meeting someone for the 1st 2nd 3rd time, have a safe call in place…. ask for someone's registration number and landline upfront and check the registration when you meet them IN A PUBLIC PLACE, having already given the info to your safe call. Use your brain and don't be sucked into anything that doesn't feel right.
IT WON'T STOP BAD THINGS HAPPENING TO YOU, BUT IT WILL MAKE IT A BIT LESS LIKELY.

Very Shocked to hear this Sweetiejar, I hope that your warning is of use to someone. Although I can see you are skirting around naming the person, I just feel that it is a shame we can't find a better way of highlighting this type of person to warn others to take care. I have had a few conversations myself with other fetish friends who have experienced such things themselves, and it's supprising how many worrying stories come up. It's no wonder it can be so difficult to find play friends online. Dorian

Ah! I do so hate these type of mysteries. More so sometimes because it could mark the reappearance of x or y or even z under a new guise. So much IC intrigue & history....so much opportunity for reinvention with the press of the delete button...so many new toys to play with with the press of the create profile button. Still, I do recognize a picture...but can't at the moment place an 'original' name or put it in context...yet. Edited 19 Nov 09, 9:52 PM by spero

Yep we have seen a few come and go in a blaze of glory. But if you are thinking of who I think you MAY be thinking of....it isnt him!

Crosses x of off list. Y hasn't been around for a long time and doesn't even maintain their very special website. So that leaves z with the same profile but with a deleted past.

Good advice for anyone meeting someone new. Be careful, trust your instincts. And remember that networks mean nothing. x "If confusion is the first step to knowledge, I must be a genius" ~ Larry Leissner |
