I work with someone who's son is studying law at Uni. He told me the other day that each week 2 people are picked out from class and given a case to study and report back on points of law etc.
Well this case just had S & M in it, I don't know the full details but basically it revolved around a group of men doing rather extreme things to each other, somehow they ended up in court. Their defence was that it mutual consent which on the face of it I thought this is possibly one of the main themes within the bdsm environment. According to the law it wasn't so was/is S & M legal or not????? And guess what the judge said it wasn't. The men in question were found guilty of common assault.
I was just wondering if there are any legal people out there that can confirm this is the case or what people might think.
And just for the record.......I'm not into extremes!!!!
