I have had two corsets made to measure for people from corsetcurves, they were really well made, never pulled a stitch, you can get them very tight and fitting perfectly. The proper boning makes a difference. Always go for the made to measure option if available, its always worth it. I can also vouch for leatherotics, although they are slightly more fragile - leather can get scuffed where the laces run. http://www.adixxtion-designs.co.uk/ adixxtion corsets seem quite nice from what I have seen and felt. They look like reasonable quality up close but not bought one for anyone. PS - I don't wear them, but I like subs to. I am fussy about quality though. | |

I can also highly recommend Elle at Heavenly Corsets. She made mine in my picture - made to measure (over the internet) and very speedy and, well, it's just gorgeous. Have got a few cheaps ones off ebay (cannot feed my corset obsession as i'd like with a temp's wages). They are hit and miss. Seems to be much more for CB than against. It's pay day tomorrow and some of them look so pretty.....

if you get one from CB, if you are going to use suspenders, ask them specifically for metal clips etc. I have had several of the plastic ones break, though to be fair, CB have replaced them by return of post. Their customer service is excellent, and I'm very happy with mine, though it is only worn for play. | |

I tightlace quite often and have an odd shape even for a guy with a big chest and small hips (we'll not even talk about negative waists!). I have 2 corsets, once a vollers longer underbust item which is fantastic but impossible to bend in (lovely) and a shorter WKD underbust which is a great fit but I have to go for a 30" to get enough closure over teh hips to give me a waist but it means a massive gap around the chest. I give my WKD corset a pounding as I tie it very tight to give me a 6"-8" wiast reduction which gets me great comments but it is not ideal. Once I've got a bit of free cash I'm going to get a custom made one from a local corset maker who is on the Scene which removes a lot of the awkwardness. I once contacted Axfords for their advice and got the phone put down on me! | |
