Just looking back at some work we did on restoring the bedroom door.
We indulged in: stripping (the door); waxing (more accurately removing the wax); piercing (damn those splinters); needle play (getting the splinters out); knife play (some splinters were stubborn); lots of rubbing down; getting oiled up (coating the door with a nice wood oil); edge play (smoothing of the door edges and I'm sure that I've missed some others!

You have forgotten that our fabulous helper Buckssub said as he was attacking the door surface with an abrasive pad
"Look I've got wood!". Now, that is my kind of DIY 24/7 subs and slaves can and do live similar lives, it is only the concept of 'ownership' which separates them. Edited 17 Nov 09, 1:15 PM by Ms_Valentine

perhaps the knob needed smoothing, the lock testing, some knots in the wood needing stopping ?

There was also some screwing (of hinges) some corner time (smoothing that damaged corner) suspension (hanging the door after we had had our fun)
And there's 4 more of the blighters to do! Happy days...
