Yesterday, at 1.30 pm, I heard the first Christmas song on the radio.
Is it just me, or is Christmas starting earlier every year?

I've started playing Geraldine's Christmas Song on my iPod.

Christmas is getting earlier. There is a limit to this of course - once Christmas run-up starts on December 26th the previous year there's no further it can go. Oh hell - maybe there is. You could have run up to next Christmas and "pre-run-up" to the Christmas AFTER going on simultaneously ... Toak FEMALE, BONDAGE-FRIENDLY MODEL SOUGHT. I am seeking to update my "How To" shibari bondage pictures (see my profile pics, the clothed blonde tied in red and black) with a model more "enthusiastic" about BDSM, and who is happy to be photographed nude. MEMO ME if this is you.

Asda played the first Christmas song I heard this year the day before Halloween. I actually quite liked the whole festiveness of it all "It is never too late to be what you might have been."

It is indeed getting earlier every year so if you are looking for presents you will find them just next to the Easter eggs!

It must be mind numbing for the poor staff at my local Tesco. They have been listening to the same festive tinklings going round and round on repeat for weeks. It is beginning t get to me too.... I can't stop looking longingly at the frozen turkeys!

I'm with the Professor on this one... Christmas does not start until the 20th December in my book, and even then that's too early.

I sing Christmas songs whenever I want, all year around. I don't mind people singing them or playing them when it's not Christmas. The song has a theme and time of year? So what? Love songs get played all year around, not just on Valentines day. Songs about parents get play all year around, not just on Mothers Day or Fathers Day. So why can't Christmas songs be played all year around rather than just at Christmas? I think they're jolly and fun. I like a good jingle, me. Everybody now: Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh, Hey!!
Feel free to slaughter me now, all ye "It's not Christmas so don't play Christmas songs" people. xX Goldie Xx
