When he tells you off for browsing the internet at work. Say's he's checked your browsing history and doesn't like you going on all those photography sites.
But doesn't mention the kinky dating site. ![]()

You're very lucky then. In many organisations and jobs it would be frowned on at least, and as has been pointed out, some people have lost jobs through being outed and others are in fear of it. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/226772/

Maybe he just doesn't want to bring it up because he finds what you're looking at embarrassing? Either way, kinky or not kinky, your boss does seem rather cool and relaxed about it. I like that attitude. My hopes for the future are that BDSM will gradually have less and less stigma attached to it so that one day it carries positive connotations and is a lot more acceptable in all aspects of life; professional work, romantic love, social etc. And I'd hope that when I'm employed, my boss would either know and approve or not know at all. I'd hate to lose a job over being into kink. I think I would be quite pleased if my boss was kinky/into the scene. It could make work a little more interesting to be able to discuss that sort of things. After all, some people seem to discuss their sex lives at work and BDSM is my sex life, personally. To be able to be open about it in a professional workspace and not get any grief over it would be fantastic. A girl can hope for a positive future at least. But, yeah, Felicity, your boss seems okay at the moment. If you ever broach the subject with him, I hope it goes well. xX Goldie Xx

My boss has two teenage/early twenties daughers. He's not stupid. I'm entirely sure he hears the noises as my mother did when I lived with her! I've always been very open about my sexual habits. He knows I dress in rubber every now and again because I took a latex nurses outfit to work with me once (in a carrier) for a party after work with friends. He also knows I do nude modeling, so I'm sure it's not a suprise for him. He knows I'm single, so no big deal. Because I've always worked in very "young" trades (outdoors instructor, lifeguard, swimming teacher etc etc) my managers have always socialised with the staff, so they have inevitably been privvy to the sort of discussions that people in their early 20's have about their sex lives. I've never once had a problem to be honest, and I've never met anyone that disaproved. A few people that it has puzzled (like my best mate, he doesn't get it at all) but I've never once met a person who had a problem with it. After all, it's just sex. |
