Before I go and randomly prostitute myself before as many banks as I can find, does anybody on here know which financial institutions (if any) are actually lending to small businesses?
I am not holding my breath for a flurry of replies, but hey, I think I can invest in two minutes of my time to type this on the off chance it may work...
Alternatively, ten grand to spare? Very safe business model wishes to borrow...
Ok, am pushing my luck now.

Depends on what you want the loan for.

HSBC keep wanting to give my business money, but I am an existing customer, never been in the red and never asked for any money. S -- Turned out nice again.

Well, yes, I guess it does. I wouldn't expect anybody (let alone a random website user) to consider anything like this without a damned sight more information! Would be happy to put meat on the bones privately...

Try any of the banks not currently in public ownership. the Co - Op is good especcially for green projects. Good luck

Thank you. That is definitely worth a thought - is not a green product, but is a very ethical one... I believe in the certainty of chance.

at the moment, things 'r' hard. we recently were looking to re-mortgage our site. basically, if your business has equity, you are okay, but the fees are higher than they were before. self cert is gone, possibly forever. ask about an overdraft now, and it's like asking for the bank manager's right arm. the 'govenment money', is apparently ringfenced for businesses that have LOW equity, but good turnover/profit, but cannot maintain cashflow. natwest is very good, we have not taken them up on thier offer, but they are old school, which means they want to know everything about you. fees are not that great though. 3 years ago advisers told us our mortgage deal was a real bum one, but now, the same advisers have looked at it, and told us it is now a great one, and we should never change it!

What is the business? I may have some spare dough. Science, the only religion that works even if you don't believe in it. |
