Am having an op on Monday and have to remove my clit piercing - have had the piercing about 3 years now and was wondering how long I can keep it out until it will start to close up?

Thanks

pinky

can't- closes up straight away- but can get a flexible soft plastic loop to keep open in meantime...

thats my experience anyway!

Oh no!!! So if I take it out before my op and then put back in that evening, will it still close during that time?

I took my clit hood piercing out a couple of days before I gave birth, then forgot about it.Put it back in about a year later no problems whatsoever.

Maybe something like this would be what you need...

clear retainer

As you've had the piercing a while, you should be ok for the one day I would have thought. I'm assumming you're talking about a clit hood piercing rather than the actual clit? I had clit hood piercing and realised one day that I had lost the ball off the end of the barbell and it had come out. I managed to replace it with no problems and I think the bar had possibly been gone for a good few hours at least, but I guess it depends on the individual.

I dont have a quote so I'll leave this bit blank...........cos I dont want to use up space till I have something really good to put here :-)

unless you are having your clit operated on, ask them to put tape over it, or make them aware you have it in, it's only if your heart stops & they need to zap you back, stops them getting zapped, put a arcylic ring or bar in if youre that worried

I had an op 'down there' and I took mine out just as they took me down to theatre and popped it back in when I came round after - no probs. If they aren't actually doing anything 'down there' see if you really have to take it out.... I kept mine in when I had my (very protracted labour) baby.
