It is even more apt if you are as competitive as you claim. As those old enough to have seen the BBC production "I Claudius" will remember, one of the things his wife was infamous for was having a 24 hour contest with a renowned Roman prostitute, over which of them could cope with the most men in that period. Messalina won. So, your competitiveness is historically well-attested! As for MY name, I fully understand and agree with those who have reservations about the Sir/Master or similar designations being presumptuous (one of the reasons I "sign" myself as just "English"). However, I chose mine for use in a variety of chat rooms, including vanilla. I like its ambiguity, particularly as I enjoy words and language and tend to think of myself as able to deploy them to good effect. The chat rooms were likely to have American participants too, so I valued the sense of communicating my nationality, my virtuousity with words, and (for those able to see the nuances) my "preferences". It works on a number of levels. And I find it amusing when people ask me "are you really a teacher?" - which is still ambiguous! I often find myself commenting - "there is more than one kind of Master", and seeing whether or not the penny drops. English

I chose my new name (ie this one) after my Dom and i had a little hiccup...a few months before we finally split. I wanted to keep something of the old name (kitt) and not because of kittens people, because of Katherine which is the name i've always prefered, incuffs was added because of my love of restraints, leather variety...cough...but that was before i found rope!
However, kittincuffs seems to stick quite well and in scene suits me quite well, being turned into kitty, kitt, cuffster, miss kitt..depending on which part of switchy me is about On monday, i even failed to recognise my real name until it was said more than once! Oops methinks i'm spending too much time with kinksters...lol. @Wykd, i quite liked your old name...wykd games you know. Mine started with blogging elsewhere, I used to write a lot about atheism and politics in quite an attacking style, so it started as a play on words. The Morningstar as lucifer, a weapon for smashing heads in and the antithesis of the leftwing morningstar newspaper. I had to pick another nick on here as someone was already using Lucifer_Morningstar, so I went for the german version as it is also a Rammstein song.
