BDSM erotica and novels (7)

I went to the book store up the road the other day to see if they had any BDSM erotica to read, I got the guy working there to type through a list of BDSM/Femdom authors (I got from here http://www.femdomdesire.com/forums/stories/4449-... ) to see if they had anything and although the guy seemed familiar with Leopold von Sacher-Masoch and a few others they didn't have anything there, which I was sort of expecting but hoping otherwise.

I've ordered from amazon:

Slave of the Spartans by Yolanda Celbridge

Venus in Furs by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch

The Complete Marquis de Sade, Vol. 1 by Marquis de Sade

I'm looking forward to having some BDSM based novels to read as I've not really read any before, other then novels with very light D/s and CP references (like Books vs Cigarettes by George Orwell with CP references, We by Yevgeny Zamyatin with D/s references...).

I'm glad I got Venus in Furs by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, and looking forward to some light reading with Slave of the Spartans by Yolanda Celbridge. But I'm starting to think maybe I shouldn't have got The Complete Marquis de Sade, Vol. 1 by Marquis de Sade, as I've been reading some reviews which say it's a tedious and crap read and the full versions the book is referenced from are ruined by it. Has anyone read it, what do you think?

I would like to get more fantasy type novels about sorceresses and males subs to read. Any books that you can suggest?

I have Slave of the Spartans, someone gave it to me a while ago, though I have yet to read it, so let us know what you think once your done.

I've heard varying reviews of Venus in Furs.

I got read the Marquis De Sade stories at bedtime and quite enjoyed them. Its not written like modern erotica which might put some people off I suppose, but it didn't bother me, I really liked it, especially read aloud.

-Anais Nin has used some BDSM elements in her work-Delta of Venus is a good one! -Story of the Eye by Georges Bataille is also extremely good. - One book, that I keep meaning to get a hold of is 'the Monk'. Has anyone read that?

As for fantasy novels, I once read a Terry Goodkind novel that was so packed with Femdom undertones it was untrue. Unfortunately, I can't remember the title and I read it a long time ago.

Ahh good, the Marquis De Sade stories are starting to sound more promising then.

I might be a couple of weeks until I've read Slave of the Spartans but I shall do another blog on it when I have, I'll let you know when I do.
