The more I read about the 'scene', the more repulsive I find it.

such a pity, as I hope I will be able to see through that. just a tiny portion of people, and a small portion of events.

But in the real world, such crap does not exist for me, I get on great, meet 100s of great people, and have never been judged on my background.

but i'm gonna stand my ground. just because I am joining something new, doesnt mean I should leave my morals at the door.

Leading scene members may be tutting, saying dont rock the boat to a few people here and there. but history is overtaking you, and if you dont move into the 21st century, your going to be left behind.

so many good, decent people on here though. lovely to see.

Can you guess why that might be the case (my bold is the hint).

Submission is giving someone the ability to destroy You, but trusting them enough not to.

no, not perfect, and no-one around me is, but we all respect each other, and try to accept our differences, and stand up for what is right, and decent.

try it some day dear, its really nice, you might even like it.

Its like a fly to a candle.

You word things in a way that will get responses.

Some people would call it flame baiting.

On reference to the scene you read.

Don't read it go and enjoy it.

What is the scene anyway? What's good for one is not for another.

Make of it what you want not what others tell you.

You think THAT was an attack? Hell girl, you don't know me!

"That" was me being sarcastic.

Maybe you should test the water as my predecessor suggested and then write something factual about 'the scene'.

sorry, but you did write in a way open to interpretation. (coughs with a guilty cough)

in real life, people are no-where near as nasty, and descriminating.

it is factual, if it is quoting real events that actually take place.

Backdooruk has a valid point i feel. i would add that you are as guilty as the rest of us though, you presume what you read is a true reflection of us yet havent bothered getting to know us. Some of what you have written in the past months is complete drivel yet i hear from those who meet you that you are beautiful, charming and delightful. Many of the people you are misreading are the same.

A bit of inconsistency here. First sentence you say all is bad, second sentence a tiny part of it is bad, could you clear up this confusion please?

What leading scene members? No one leads the scene. There is no Grand Council who meet in secret deciding who is U and who is Non U. There are loads of separate social groups, with quite a lot of overlap between them. In this way BDSM is no different from Ramblers or Drama Societies. If someone is trying to be on high and pronouncing "Thou shalt not" a "fuck off dickhead" usually suffices.

Do you honestly think the organisers of the LAM, to pick an event at random, have any influence over how IC runs or the Manchester Munch or any other BDSM thing apart from the LAM?

In the flesh you may be a perfectly reasonable person. Online you just seem to turn every small incident into a major fucking crisis. Stop coming across as an attention seeking hard done by drama queen. Join in, stop going "Oi look at me, sympathy needed".
