Is fucking elusive tonight, it wasn't helped by the kittens racing round the bedroom like it is Silverstone, and the cat growling and hissing everytime they went past. Considering the kittens can lap the room in about 7 seconds, that is a lot of growling and hissing.
It doesn't help that I seemed to be the start/finish straight.
I think I might just stay up all night now...

Oh dear, you sound frustrated... You have two six month old cats, one of each sex and one adult male cat. Three cats and you (in pain and not very mobile a lot of the time) living together in a small house. You are entitled to sleep at night. They get a free run of your place, 24/7 three cats....across your furniture, across you, up along wardrobes, up and down stairs and into your bedroom. I'd go mad, but it's your choice. They will undoubtedly get stronger, more territorial and more vocal as time goes on. Maybe it's time to restrict your sleeping space and make it a human only zone? Sweet dreams.

You seem to be a bit confused.
I think you will find that the two kittens are both male and under 5 months old.
Three cats and me, yes, small house, well it is a three bedroomed terraced house, it isn't huge but it is plenty for the four of us. Pain, yes, not very mobile? I actually think I do quite well, no one else has complained about my mobility in the past.
I do sleep at night, the night before I slept extremely well and the kittens never woke me up once.
The kittens are young and they will start settling down next week when they are neutered. I can't see that it is any of your concern and it is my choice. One I'm happy with for the time being.
Of course they will get stronger, they are still growing, it is what happens with all kittens. As for more vocal and territorial, being neutred should solve that next week.
When it is just me in the house I see no need to, and it is nice dropping off to sleep surrounded by purring felines, as happened the night before last. When the time comes that I want to keep the cats out I just have to shut the door on them. "We're all living in a freakshow Man, it's called life. Buy a ticket and enjoy the ride."
