I would love to do this, but whilst I'm confident enough about my face passing the test.......I'm kinda broad, so always felt that would be too much of a giveaway for going out in public?????

In my opinion, and has been said in an earlier post, it's how you carry yourself that counts. When I go out, I alwyas make sure my head is held high and I walk with confidence (not always easy in 5" heels, but it's the effort that counts!). Inside i'm always conscious of who I am but it's always your own paranoia that works against you, you'll find that most people won't bat an eye. |

My friend's very brave boyfriend has gone out dressed in Middlesbrough, of all places. No problems in the pubs and clubs, but they took the precaution of taking a taxi when the next club was more than a few minutes walk, which was probably wise. I would agree with Canal Street, Amsterdam, and I would say Camden and Soho as well.
Edit to add that even in Middlesbrough, there are TS people in the early stages of transition and still looking pretty androgynous, who are necessarily dressed 24/7 and don't get too much hassle. It's only a weblog

As a TS I have to dress 24/7 and that is not crossdressing. I have over the years meet many different people and amongst them one or two CD's who were either good at dressing in public or too scared to do it public. Some can do it but others can not because they fear they can not "pass". http://empressm7.uboot.com/ http://www.socialkink.com/empressmartine Vampire, pro/lifestyle ts dom/switch.Ageplay mummy/aunty/AB,medical play, domestic, energy, outdoor specialist."Welcome to Downturn Abbey. You will not be staying long. Crossdressing in public
Having got more confident about my TV side recently, and having visited several clubs in drag, my female partner and i now wish me to spend longer dressed up - preferably at least a weekend
obviously we could hide away indoors all weekend but really wish to go out, shopping, eating, drinking etc, but equally don t want a smack in the mouth from a charming passing chav !!
i accept there are going to be stares and comments wherever one goes, but are there any areas where people can recommend, either in England or abroad that would be tolerant (or even welcoming - ok stop dreaming now) of a tv fully dressed up
(Canal st manchester seems a possible starting point, probably prior to Lash one night ? )
Amsterdam was another thought ...............
any advice or personal experiences would be most welcome
thank you

Yes Canal St would be OK. A couple who were friends of mine once resrained a TV to the railings on this street and gave him a good flogging.

That was me.
And we bent him over a taxi with the driver in it, too stunned to object.
Ha!

I went in grown up girlie mode with my wife to Windsor, where we had a brilliant day, and nobody batted an eyelid (or I got away with it).
We also went to Brent Cross Shopping centre for the day, which was absolutely fantastic. I got a couple of giggles from some young girls, but that was all. No trouble at all.
I have been round London (twice) in school uniform (see my pics) and had my photo taken with the copper at Downing street. I have also been to Thorpe Park in school uniform for the day.
I have been dragged round brighton locked into baby reins, and been taken for a walk in my pushchair in Portsmouth.
I was taken by another Mistress around Tescos in school uniform. I regularly drive in girlie mode and used to get stopped by the police in Stevenage just so they could see what I was wearing.
When Lovetrix was in Watford, I used to walk through the town centre in cheerleader outfits etc.
I have been for walks around local parks, and walked through Kings Cross station several times.
I also go on a tranny holiday and go down town on my own to the shops and bank. I have been on a steam train and visited a cider farm.
It depends on where I am going which determines my mode of dress. If I am to be in the general public, I dress grown up. If I am partying, i wear school uniform or party wear.
In general, I have not had a great deal of trouble. I dress apropriately, and sometimes get bit of ribbing, but in good humour, and I dont react other than laugh with them (or flash my knickers).
I find (to my surprise) that the public are generally tolerant of crossdressers, but I do tend to steer away from known trouble spots.
Another trick I have found is to exude an air of confidence, even when you are shitting yourself.
Its a great buzz though.

Next time your stopped by police while dressed girly. Why not strike a blow for our movement by pointing out their rules about dress advice contained in P.A.C.E.(Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 |

I would think that most of central London would be fine: Soho, Camden, Covent Garden, King's Road, King's Cross... |
