Having got more confident about my TV side recently, and having visited several clubs in drag, my female partner and i now wish me to spend longer dressed up - preferably at least a weekend obviously we could hide away indoors all weekend but really wish to go out, shopping, eating, drinking etc, but equally don t want a smack in the mouth from a charming passing chav !! i accept there are going to be stares and comments wherever one goes, but are there any areas where people can recommend, either in England or abroad that would be tolerant (or even welcoming - ok stop dreaming now) of a tv fully dressed up (Canal st manchester seems a possible starting point, probably prior to Lash one night ? ) Amsterdam was another thought ............... any advice or personal experiences would be most welcome thank you J

I always find Brighton to be very friendly and relaxing.
Amongst the people I went there with was LadySeverine(Guilty Pleasures etc) who looked superb in her black gothic sunday best. She cuffed my wrists and added a lead to them and led me back to my car through the Lanes
and there was hardly a raised eyebrow. Dee xx

I doubt you would feel out of place on Hurst Street in Brum. It has the majority of gay bars and clubs and, at the weekend, you see many people in "drag" and various other "costumes" "You and you alone make me feel that I am alive. Other men it is said have seen angels, but I have seen thee and thou art enough." ~ George Moore

The main reason Santa is so jolly is because he knows where all the bad girls live.

A mass tranny outing to somewhere nilla would be fun, safety in numbers and all that Its the fear of getting beaten up that makes me cautious as well, and a justified fear it is too I only have to be in the wrong place at the wrong time once, so Im carefull on my own The first rule of Brat Club, we don't talk about Brat Club...

I can vouch for Blackpool, had a fab time as my first weekend in public as Louise. Can give you details of a fantastic guest house near Funny Girls too. You can dress a pig in a tutu but it will never be a ballerina......

As others have already said, Brighton is an obvious one. Have been out there, and not even attracted a funny look. And that was before I started all the TS stuff! happy volunteer for mind control and robotisation experiments

Of course , Brighton ! How obvious ? i think the Velvet Resturant / bar in Canal St will be a good shout (thanx for that) prior to Lash on Friday 13th and will make a good starting point............... also love the sound of the weekend in MK, and i guess with Brighton pretty much anything goes ?

I went in grown up girlie mode with my wife to Windsor, where we had a brilliant day, and nobody batted an eyelid (or I got away with it). We also went to Brent Cross Shopping centre for the day, which was absolutely fantastic. I got a couple of giggles from some young girls, but that was all. No trouble at all. I have been round London (twice) in school uniform (see my pics) and had my photo taken with the copper at Downing street. I have also been to Thorpe Park in school uniform for the day. I have been dragged round brighton locked into baby reins, and been taken for a walk in my pushchair in Portsmouth. I was taken by another Mistress around Tescos in school uniform. I regularly drive in girlie mode and used to get stopped by the police in Stevenage just so they could see what I was wearing. When Lovetrix was in Watford, I used to walk through the town centre in cheerleader outfits etc. I have been for walks around local parks, and walked through Kings Cross station several times. I also go on a tranny holiday and go down town on my own to the shops and bank. I have been on a steam train and visited a cider farm. It depends on where I am going which determines my mode of dress. If I am to be in the general public, I dress grown up. If I am partying, i wear school uniform or party wear. In general, I have not had a great deal of trouble. I dress apropriately, and sometimes get bit of ribbing, but in good humour, and I dont react other than laugh with them (or flash my knickers). I find (to my surprise) that the public are generally tolerant of crossdressers, but I do tend to steer away from known trouble spots. Another trick I have found is to exude an air of confidence, even when you are shitting yourself. Its a great buzz though. As someone who likes to wear high heels and girlie clothes but not full TV, I've yet to find many venues which I feel totally comfortable in. LAM and LFF are great, and shopping in Covent Garden and the Sloane Street end of Kings Road seem safe. There are other parts of London I'm ok with too, but does anyone have any suggestions where I'd be ok? Restaurants, bars, etc. Any pointers would be much appreciated I've yet to find somewhere quite like CCK, which I wish I gone to a whole lot more than I did. I do hope they open a new location soon!!! It takes a lot of money to look this cheap |
