I haven't laughed so much since Jeffery Archer went down. To be honest I thought the BNP were all idiots anyway, but the lack of cohesion in Griffens arguments was hilarious. I'll give him his due though it is pretty impressive that anyone can make Jack "Shock & Awe" Straw look good. Dyslexia rules K.O. Edited 23 Oct 09, 12:40 AM by Gordon_Comstock

It had the feeling of a stitch up when I looked back on it. Consider that nearly the whole show was devoted to attacking this silly twat. The one question that was not about the BNP invited Griffin to show himself as homophobic as well as a delusional racist liar. Also, consider some of the other guests invited, intellectually more than capable of destroying him quite easily, then the studio audience. It struck me as quite unusual that some of the audience were invited to ask inflammatory questions that the panel were then not invited to answer (particularly as I've seen the programme before). The (dishonest) pretext was allowing the guy freedom of expression/freedom of speech, but it seemed as though he wasn't given a fair opportunity to do that. In truth it seemed quite calculated to hold him up for ridicule. In doing so, the BBC sought to justify bringing Griffin onto the show (auntie can claim that they've shown him up for what he really is). Not that I disagree with holding this fool up to ridicule (it would nice to see this become a national sport). I just fail to see the point behind doing so. Indeed, for Griffins purposes he'll be able to use this program as proof of the BBC's lack of politcal impartiality and many people will end up identifying with him. As such, it would have been better not to have invited him (Would Griffin have been so stupid as to not predict what would happen and then come on anyway for no reason?). It appeared to be a concentrated effort to discredit someone the vast majority of people would never vote for anyway. Those that would aren't going to be persuaded by this programme. As such, I suspect that the programme was a failure in its intention:- it has preached to the converted but not actually changed anyones mind. The underlying cause of the problem (poor planning by government leading to a strain on public services with the issue then hijacked by the racist BNP) wasn't really discussed in enough detail.

If you missed this: the BNP (Nick Griffin) on Question Time, classic - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QAvkFS_cgk "You have to take the rough with the smooth with you. I do not think you are the way you are in order to have your rough edges worn off" - F.

This was a stich up of the highest order and all it did was promote bullying in society. Why didn't they let Griffin debate the issues of the day rather than attack and bully him with a hand picked audience. I think anyone who pays there tv liscense are a mug when you take into account the money is spent on left wing propoganda and there anti white agenda. It would be nice if they gave the same amount of air time to the victims of anti white racism such as Gavin Hopley and the most brutal racist murder in British history Kris Donald as they do to the 'so called' racist murder of Stephen Lawrence. If your going to respond please make it an intellegant response as opposed to a bigoted response. thanks
