Oh dear :(

My morning sickness was terrible I spent 4 weeksin hospital on a drip with dehydration because I couldn't keep even water down. I can't remeber the medical term for it now.

One of the best things I bought we some travel sickness bands from Boot's. You wera them round your wrists and it presses on a spot thats meant to help combat sickness and quesyness. They really did work for me when it wasn't too bad.

Maybe ice pops would help you feel cooler and not be tummy turning?

I hope your feeling better soon how long have you got to go ?

Ouch- not a good combo. :-( Sure baby will be fine, so please don't worry! I know a few pregnant ladies who have had the dreaded swine, and they're just fine, and so are their babies. Just concentrate on getting yourself well, k? Easier said than done I know when we're not allowed to take anything stronger than paracetamol for it- bah! How far on are you? (This is pure nosiness, sorry!) Hope you feel better soon. xxx

Thank you for the advice. I may try those bands, If it was only morning sickness or only flu I'd be fine, but the combo of the two is bringing me down today! Plus I'm only in my first trimester which is why the fever thing is worrying me.

as for coughing fits and throwing up.

I get this cos flu + asthma = death.

Lemon and honey hot drinks, tunes, fishermans friend, eating, chewing gum takes away the tickle so you dont cough as much.

hope this helps :)

Sorry that you are feeling so rough hun :-(

I'm still jealous though that you're pregnant and I'm not, even with all the horrible morning sickness!

I'll go and stick my hands down my throat in sympathy for you.

Im 21 weeks pregnant now..I had terrible morning sickness for the first 6 - 8 weeks. Couldn't look at food without feeling sick and definately couldn't be in someones company whilst they at any!

I just made sure during that period I drank plenty of water and munched on afew glucose tablets, but even those were diffcult to keep down.

None of the advise of eat ginger, drink ginger ale, speciality teas etc etc worked with me.

When I did have to eat though, I found just 3 or 4 forkfulls of plain rice or pasta I could stomach, but no sauce or cheese on it, so nothing exciting!

Those travel sickness wrist bands did help a fair bit though.

It will pass, although at the moment that probably feels a life time away for you! It certainly felt like that for me!

I can't believe I've no control
