To help explain where I'm coming from:

On my personal profile, I have subscribed to my group profile, so I could follow posts made to it, and it shows me posts made by the group, as well as posts made by others on the groups weblog.

The group profile however, only has its own posts in the subscriptions list, but not the threads made by other people on the groups weblog. Is is possible to update it so that the subscriptions list of the group shows threads started by itself and threads started by others on the groups weblog, as it is also impossible to subscribe to your own blog.

This would make it easier to manage and moderate new posts because the subscriptions list shows the threads in order of 'last activity' whereas the weblog list lists by date of thread origination. Meaning that someone could comment on a very early thread and be missed entirely. And of course, putting threads written by others on your weblog in your subscriptions list also has the same effect.

So far I have managed bouncing between the two, but being able to do it on one page would make it easier (I really dislike the task).

Check your settings because we have members' weblogs showing on our group's subscription page.

Which settings? I've just gone through all of them and found nothing related to it.

Check 'Chat, Weblog and Web Board settings' and make sure that your members can start weblogs etc.

If you check our group page http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/subscriptions/p... you can see that Lady Anna has started two weblogs under her own profile.

Yeah. They can do that already, and I've had members start weblogs, but I can't see those weblogs in my subscriptions. The very first thread that was made on the weblog was made by my personal profile instead of the group one!

Are both sets of threads listed now? As you say, I included threads started by you on your Subscriptions page (on any board or weblog), but not threads started on your own group. I suppose I didn't really expect people to "inhabit" the group profiles, and be using the Subscriptions page.

It should now be as if each profile is automatically subscribed to it's own group weblog (if it has one), but without it being counted.

Ah, but there's a link to switch between sorting order at the top of each weblog's list of threads, so it's not actually necessary to use the Subscriptions page for this (although that should work as you expect now anyway.)

Admin

Remember: it's only a website :)

Oh yeah, now it is!

I did notice this, literally seconds after making a big hoo-hah about it... Just typical of me really...

Thanks Admin!
