could learn a lot from BBB.
I have to confess it was a little dull but the rest of the town was fun especially the Birdcage theatre/gambling den/brothel complete with real bullet holes in the stage. And there were some wonderful costumes and corsets for sale!

I thought the title was a joke until I stalked your previous posts and found a reference to Tucson. Are you touring Arizona? An interesting choice. Hope you enjoy! (P.S. Your screen name is confusingly similar to someone else) ETA Tucson for some reason reminds me of the novels of Barbara Kingsolver; can't remember whether she's written about it or I'm simply remembering it's where she lives. I think she's described it somewhere. Having religious interests, I particularly liked The Poisonwood Bible; a chilling story of almost normal religion going mad. I'm working in Tucson at the moment but will be home soon. Barbara Kingsolver lives here during winter i think - i've read a book of essays and one of her novels (Animal Dreams) that refer to Tucson a lot. I enjoyed the Poisonwood bible too |

How interesting to get to work over there - and what a contrast of cultures. And climates. I guess Sheffield in Autumn / Winter will feel cold after Summer in Tucson. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/226772/ Edited 12 Oct 09, 7:25 AM by wonderer |
