What a shame but fully understandable. You both worked so hard to make it the success it was. xxxxxxxxxxx "A heart is not judged by how much it loves but by how much it is loved" Wizard of Oz to the Tinman You give little when you give of your possessions. Yesterday I received a phone call informing me that the local media had shown an unhealthy interest in our event. I decided that to protect the privacy of my myself my friends and anyone attending the event that we would have to cancel the event and we will no longer be holding the Munch there. I have not taken this decision lightly having spent the last 14 months building the munch from scratch. I spend many hours a week promoting the munch and talking to those who have, and were travelling to demonstrate for us. Finding a local venue that is discreet and also willing to allow us to meet monthly was not easy in the first place as we were refused many times before we found this one, also the use of the function area etc etc. This is not a personal issue we have with anyone so the idea that somebody should take over from us is not required, if we decided to give up something we have put so much hard work into building we will of course keep you informed. We have worked hard to build the trust of our members we had no other choice but to protect that. | |

That is such a shame, we never made it to the Kings Lynn munch but are often (always?) at the Cambridge munch and know how enjoyable, friendly and popular a well run munch can be... Fingers crossed that something can contiue after the interest dies down |
