I posted up an ad for a flat in London for a month, which is a shot in the dark anyway, especially within my budget. I got some nibbles, including one from a 44 year old man who said, mysteriously, that he just wanted to cook with me, and that I didn't have to pay rent. Additionally, he said he would prefer I didn't have a lover over, which, when you put them together, = he wanted to have sex with me in exchange for a room. When I called him on it, and furthermore said thanks, but no thanks, he replied with this gem:
"Well! Obviously If you love sex as I do, and if we have attraction and chemistry for each other, it will be nice to share sex, If you have sex one time with me, I'm sure that you will desire to have more and more with me every day, unless if you don't love sex. The Briton man you have may need preservatives to protect you from disease or Viagra to sustain erected penis but I never need anything like that. With me will be All natural and you will be totally satisfied."
Well! Obviously I don't love sex, because the idea of exchanging it for a place to stay in which I can't come and go as I please with whom I please is unappealing. Additionally, suggesting that British men are dirty, therefore you need condoms with them, but HE'S a MAN, and doesn't need such trinkets is additionally gross. Never mind the idea that because I'm a woman, he feels it's acceptable to offer money/goods in exchange for sex, cause all women will put out for stuff if you catch 'em when they're desperate enough, right? Had he booked me through my site, or something, and knew I was a sex worker, that wouldn't bother me, but as far as he knows I'm just a girl looking for a roomshare. Squick.
