Clearly the trouble with protecting peoples egos, clearing up shit, mending fences and building bridges quietly in the background is that people don't realise just how badly they fucked up in the first place. Still it's not my project that's going to go to ratshit just so you can give someone enough rope to hang themselves, you carry on and see if I'm around to pick up the pieces when they fuck up again, and yes they will fuck up again. Only it will already be too late next time, at least this time I was halfway to getting it back on track but no, you don't want to see what's bleeding obvious do you.
And there is a point to worrying about how we hand the damn thing over, even if it is in 15 months time, because no one knows how to do it now and thinking about it then is too late, but hey, you're the boss, it's your call.
God I hope I get a new job or a new boss soon.
