Will people who are in relationships where there is a wide difference in ages become the next target of Government SEXUAL intervention. What would it be, 5, 10, years difference?

I doubt it would be as it is subjective once they are over the age of consent, and not an abuse of position (teacher, uni lecturer etc.) and would also need caveats in it, for instance most people would see nothing wrong with a 55yo woman dating a 65yo man, however those same people probably would have a problem with a 16yo woman (who is therefore over the age of consent) dating a 26yo man. You do have to hope that in cases of extreme age difference that the younger partner hasn't been manipulated by the older, something which most of us have probably seen happen. However it would be a very difficult thing to legislate against as there are people with large age differences in genuinely worthwhile and mutually benificial relationships. I also believe that if the man and woman were over the legal age of consent and it wasn't an abuse of position then the human rights act would stop and legislation coming into force.

No. Why would it? Science, the only religion that works even if you don't believe in it.

What makes you think this is a likely govt. target Chicken Licken?

Why do you think there is a possibility of that happening? "People are inherently evil, but very, very funny" - Joe Orton.

Had someone told me a decade ago that the government would be telling me what light bulbs I could use, what glue I could buy and whether or not I was able to drive a bunch of kids to a school footy match I would have laughed at them.

Wel, if an elderly person is considered a vulnerable person, then while they may not object to a 65 year old dating a 90 year old, they may have problems with a 35 year old dating a 90 year old... taking advantage, gold digging and all that. Fortuntely geriphilia seems be pretty rare so hasn't attracted attention.... The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
