I made my first visit to Bridgewood yesterday and I will definitely be a regular visitor.
19 acres of beautifully dense woodland, it's true that nobody would hear you scream! Not a sound but the leaves rustling in the breeze' most definitely far from the madding crowd and not a car in sight.
Already got a decent loo, a pretty good access road and a clearing where jacket potatoes were being cooked (and kindly offered round). The rides are taking shape and someone was busy hanging a cross in a tree (I think).
This place will cater for just about any and all sorts of outdoor play; even underground if you're very lucky!
Secure, discreet, safe ... what more could one ask for!
My thanks to the genial host, I shall return next season with a couple of people for some proper play
Some people are like slinkies ... they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs
Some people say I'm a bitch, that's just not true - I have the heart and soul of a kind and gentle person ... in a jar, on my desk, next to my cane.

Lady P
Thank you for mentioning the jacket potatoes i slaved over that open fire. lol
Eric and pheonix amber along with sparky have done a brill job with the equipement they added this time.
But my favourite will always be the caged pit that has been
built i did ask if it could be in hot pink.
We did use the cart on Saturday which was great fun but i think a pack horse comes into mind over the ride.
Like you i would like to thank the host for his warm welcome to his woods. |

Yes Woodland tracks open to the sky, so in times past one could ride along them on a horse (rather than a pony cart!) Good for wildlife now, as it lets the light in so things other than trees get a chance on the edges.

Excellent! Well done Tanos.
I know more than some how much time, sweat and tears can go into building a balanced venue that not only works but is safe and secure.
Here's hoping that Bridgewood goes from strength to strength!

And also essential as fire breaks should fire-play get out of hand.
Speaking of fires, Hallowe'en draws nigh. Any plans for a 'Wicker Man'?
.
They were originally filled with law-breakers and other transgressors, y'know... "He took a single sip of her pain and found it exquisite"

Hmm. A vision of a never-ending cycle of trials, verdicts and immolations fills my mind's eye. Thank you.

Your 'good ol' days' were centuries ago.
