We have been asked this in memo a few times recently so thought it might be a good idea to blog it. CAAN is, simply, a network of people who take action about sexuality rights matters - everyone who involves themselves in some way is part of CAAN (if they choose to identify themselves that way).
There are various ways to join in with CAAN depending on what interests you. See this page http://www.caan.org.uk/WhatYouCanDo.html for lots of ideas. Bet you can think of more though - and that's where new pieces of action come from.
CAAN has three specific pieces of activism running at the moment that people can involve themselves in

"We believe in the right of consenting adults to make their own sexual choices, in respect of what they do, see and enjoy alone or with other consenting adults, unhindered and unfettered by government."
"We believe that it is not the business of government to intrude into the sex lives of consenting adults."
