RIP Stripey puss.
Yesterday Stripes started acting down in the dumps and sorry for himself and was slinking into corners instead of clambering all over me for cuddles or pouncing on Zeb. This morning we came down and found him sleeping in the corner next to the router/modem table. Scott picked him up and his back end was limp so we did the only thing we could and took him to the first vet in the area to open. He had a blood clot in his back and there was nothing they could do to keep him going well. They could have dissolved the clot but his back end would never work properly again so we had to say our goodbyes. We both chose to stay with him and the vet gave us time before and after. He didn't seem to be in pain and he was fine in the car just wrapped in a blankey so he didn't have to go in the carry box that he hated so thats something positive I guess.
We only had him for a year and a bit so with the SSPCA guess on his age he was only 2 1/2 at most. He was a lovely wee boy and both of us are gutted, Zeb so far seems fine but we'll keep a close eye on him, he's a grumpy wee shite most of the time but he let us pick him up for longer than normal for a cuddle when we got home. He was a strange cat, acted more like a dog but he was my little boy and I'm going to miss him clambering all over everything and his strange wee cross eyed gaze.

Sorry to hear about your poor cat. My sympathies..Ms_V ( a fellow Karen) 24/7 subs and slaves can and do live similar lives, it is only the concept of 'ownership' which separates them. |

Aah, I'm so sorry for your loss. My lovely little cat Smokey Joe had to be put to sleep for the same thing last year. It was so sudden and was awful. I really do feel for you. Dora x I dont have a quote so I'll leave this bit blank...........cos I dont want to use up space till I have something really good to put here |
