Shroomy's Seed Watch - the Unexpected Comeback! (1)

Vegetable loving IC-ers may remember my surprisingly popular series of blogs entitled "Shroomy's Seed Watch" last year chronicalling the progress of my vegetable growing experiments. I know some were hoping for the return of SSW in the new gardening year and were dissapointed when I was not able to oblige owing to the end of my tenancy agreement in August and not knowing if my new digs would be vegetable friendly.

Well even I am surprised to be able to announce to IC today that Shroomy's Seed Watch is BACK.

My new digs are indeed vegetable friendly, (alas I did not know that at a convienient seed planting time), so friendly infact that I have recently decided to go and take a really really good luck at the garden and discovered not only some thriving and flowering tomato plants but some sort of enourmous sprawing thing which seems to be producing some kind of courgette or squash! I will be taking some photos and asking for help in identifying what the hell is growing in the garden.

Also today I will be starting of a grow your own mushroom kit (a present from my sister who knows nothing of my online moniker, spooky huh?), in the deepest darkest depths of the cellar...

Tune in again next week (depending on if I get together to write another blog) for another exciding episode from the new season of Shroomy's Seed Watch!

Glad to see Shroom Seed Watch is back...was getting lonely on the allotment without competition.

Actually get digging and get your early winter crops in. Cabbage, broccoli and assorted goodies.

You can even over winter potatoes and get them ready for a early bunch of new potatoes in spring next year.

Looking forward to identifying the mystery plants.
