So, you retract this?

In the past our "official" policy was that all pictures were to be approved by the subjects of the photo and then the club management before they are to be published. We asked our photographers to try to seek permission first but we also permitted our resident photographer to use their better judgment and discretion, being as professional and experienced as they are in this field. As management we decided to make the judgement call to follow a photography system that has been in place for many years in London clubs.

However, in light of the concerns that have been raised we are refining this policy, as shown above.

Many thanks,

Crimson.

Edited for a spelling mistake.

Thank you

I think what this thread has shown is that many people would have thrown a fit there and then if photographed halfway through a scene without prior permission having being sought (myself included).

There may not have been any adverse reactions so far to your previous policy, but I think that was more down to luck.

Anyway - well done for taking all the views on board and making the change ....

Ever wondered who the devil comes to for ideas ?

I have met and been photographed by Cassandra long ago at Hades and found her very polite and professional and only ever saw her take pictures at the models requests.

The problem with any pics taken is they start as nice momentoes but at some point they may be seen as evidence! The players must be consulted and approve.

I for one am aware I have had numerous pictures taken with my approval but have never seen them published apart from I must add the ones taken by Cassandra.

Comes back down to the old adage if in doubt DON'T!

It seems like the original topic has been replaced by a few of you wanting clarification on our policy regarding photography at Crimson, so please let us try and clear that up.

To put this subject to rest, we have NOT received a substantiated complaint from anyone regarding the photographers at Crimson. To clarify our position on any photography inside Crimson, we would like to confirm that all photographs are to have permission granted before they are taken.

We take privacy very seriously and even if we have previously gained permission to use the images, we are always more than happy to remove any should the person change their mind at a later date. The Crimson policy is that no photo will ever be published if there is any doubt whatsoever about permission.

Thanks,

Crimson.

coolio :-)

My intention when posting originally was to raise the matter for debate & clarification not to berate an individual, which is why I didn't make an official complaint, & I made a point of not mentioning the photographer by name (there was more than one tog dressed as a woman that night) I think the thread has shown that a lot of people would, like the people in my scene, be uncomfortable with being photographed without prior permission, the club have become aware of this & have changed their policy, showing themselves to be sensitive to their customers needs & thus an excellent club.

Many thanks to all those who posted constructively
