You can run a munch as a one off, you can run it once a month, once every six months. Hell I've started an annual one in the Glastonbury Festival Munch. Every year my partner and I attend, we will run it. If we can't attend, we're hoping others will take up the mantle. We had seven people at it this year.

All it takes it to say that you will be there at "x" time on "x" date in "x" place, recognise us by "x" symbol and people will turn up. Deceptively simple really.

I've had confirmation that two others will join me so yes: starts this month, the 12th but will probably be 8pm as we're all at a pony day in Preston til 6pm.

The Noble Comb in Shipley will be the initial venue. It's a large modern pub with a huge carpark. We'll take over a corner of the main pub initially so all very vanilla please. Hiring the function room can be considered for future evenings all dependant on how popular the munch becomes and whether or not the landlord is keen on people into arts and crafts.

As far as the pub is concerned we're a bunch of people meeting up for a drink so please keep it low key and dress accordingly - vanilla.

Well done for getting it going. So many people could do well to follow your example. One last question is how will people spot you? As you say it is a large pub and there will be at least four corners. What happens if you cannot get a corner, what is the recognition symbol?
