I'm sorry but I can't help but disagree. I'm involved in a float in the Parade and this will be my sixth Pride. Although there are a lot of money-making aspects to the festival (Bars, restaurants, the shops surrounding the village), those interests are represented the rest of the year too. During Pride, Manchester is completely aware of and predominantly welcoming to gay culture and the gay community. I think there's a certain magical feeling in the air in the village during Pride, something you don't get anywhere else or at any other time. As the parade is 1-3pm i would sugest maybe say 3:30 for a munch type thing. Anyone have any sugestions as to where would be more than welcome. Some people say i am evil, i have no idea why they think that. | |

Master and i attended Leeds Pride, we spent a whole six quid on 2 drinks and had a fab afternoon. Master

Hope everyone has fun. My little sis @Poderoso is heavily involved as a volunteer and has been for many years (am so proud!) and I know the amount of work that goes in for months leading up to it. Wish I was a little closer. | |
