We arrived back home on Monday morning - just. By the time we got in it was perilously close to afternoon and I still had to go to work.
It'd been a really good week this year, I'd had a few play partners and we'd spent a very nice couple of days in Copenhagen before Camp started. On the first Friday, on arrival in Copenhagen we were whisked off to a private house where people had already started the evening, turning up in both fetish wear and ordinary clothing, with quite a few corsetted women. We walked to the Cafe where a meal had been arranged. This wasn't in our honour, oh no, nothing like that, but the tenth anniversary of this long running monthly munch. The meal was excellent and the company was great fun and indulgent in that they very kindly spoke to us in English, instead of Danish.
After the meal we hung around outside the cafe, it was too warm to be inside. More talk and then off we went by car to another venue where the BDSM folk have a whole floor of dungeon furniture in a swingers club. It was very nicely laid out and Bohnanza found he'd been volunteered to help a female sub get over the break up of her relationship with her dom. They were occupied for quite a long time, sat with us for a drink then disappeared off to 'finalise things'.
I waited.
I did get an offer, a man spoke to me and it was explained that I don't speak Danish whereupon I was told "He is asking if you would like to have sex with him" I said Thanks but no thanks and he went away. Later I was told that what he actually said was "Will you allow me to seduce you?" an altogether more tempting offer, somehow. If I had understood that I might have said Yes!
So from there to our hostess's home where we slept soundly. She woke us rather earlier than we would have expected as she wanted to serve breakfast before we headed off to Tivoli. She and Bohnanza spent all day on rollercoasters, but as I'm not a fan of them... well - I waited.
From there we went back to L's home where we waited for friends of hers to come round. They were going to the camp too, but although they had no room for three passengers they'd offered to transport our bags for us, making our journey by train and bus much easier. Later we went to a local cafe to watch L's son playing in his band, returning home around midnight in time to get sleep before the early start the next morning to catch the train.
I love train journeys, I'd go everywhere by train if I could. The Danish countryside is fairly flat, and at one point the train goes over a bridge and under a tunnel for quite a long way. We arrived in Aarhus and changed to the bus that would take us the rest of the way.
Camp: A lot of people there whom we know from previous years, some people we might have seen before but not spent much time with, and people who were there for their first time.
The week there has all blurred into one long experience, but there are some highlights.
Next year I shall try to branch out more, I watched a couple of people playing this year and maybe I will ask if they'd like to play with me next time. It only takes me a few years of knowing someone to feel comfortable in asking!
The hot tub was hot quite early in the day, the weather was changeable but over all perfectly acceptable, the food was good (I put on a bit of weight but not as much as I'd feared) and the company relaxing and fun. One man had brought along some board games and so a few happy hours were spent trying to not let Bohnanza win. I'm not really fussy about winning, I just like beating him!
I have email addresses and a few offers of somewhere to stay when we're next out there. I've offered some people the opportunity to come and visit if they want to spend some time in Scotland and I've done my first four batches of washing. Everything is now unpacked, though I've not put much away yet.
I have happy memories and am looking forward to next year. Hooray for Denmark and SMil!
