for sooooooo long now.
i've had the makings of an analogy in my head relating to the Dominant and submissive roles for a good while.
But i can't decide which is the right way to put it. Maybe they both are.
The thoughts in question are these - D/s as a book.
Is the Dominant the binding of the book, the cover, the author of the story inside it (which would make the submissive the 'story')
Or
Is the Dominant the story, with the submissive being the binding that makes the 'story' complete.
There is a little more to say on both sides of it, but i'm struggling to find the words. Hopefully, the basic ideas come across though!
i think it's wrong to say that a Dominant without a submissve isn't Dominant, just as it's be wrong to say a submissive without a Dominant isn't submissive. After all, if a tree falls with no-one to hear it, it still makes a noise, right?
Totally rambly, and confusing even to me, but hey
that's what blogs are for ![]()
