today i possibly downloaded a copy of the film with subtitles in 8 languages including english - i tried to buy it online and in dvd shops in paris and barcelona without any joy. so far i havent figured out how to put the english subtitles on the film - i almost did it but them some pirate bay message was permanently displayed on top of and obscuring them. probably monday i will get it done by someone who knows what they are doing THEN maybe thursday i will have a "girl with the dragon tattoo" film night at my flat and invite some interested parties and swedish people. the film is a 100% perfect copy not a dodgy cam job. watch this space for film night confirmation or pm or call/text me if you know me | |

I wish I had read the posts on this earlier. I'm half way through the second book and would loved to have seen the film

sunday ....... all is ready (though i may have a cold coming on - but i may have stopped it by going in the sauna for 15 minutes) and i shall be having my Swedish film night tomorrow - monday september 28th. i have a copy of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" with english subtitles. i have so far only invited about 3 or 4 people so i can probably accommodate (with 2 m's) a couple more. any fellow Salander fans who want to come round should pm/memo me - i'm in kensington close to tube stops at earls court, gloucester road and high street kensington. in other good news the third Salander book comes out in the uk on october 1st | |

of course, i purchased the third and (probably) final salander book on the morning it came out. bizarrely i have'nt read even one page because i cant face life at the end of it ....... | |

it is the final one.
larsson is as dead as he can be...and i would never read anything else. would not suprise me if ghostwriters would try to steal the character.

darcy ..... hello. the story/rumour is that larsson had almost completed the fourth book when he died. its been suggested that the book could be completed by one of those people who assisted him on the first three but legal wrangles over his royalties will probably prevent this. Larssons impeccable pedigree as a radical opponent of fascism, sexism, intolerance and injustice and Lisbeth Salanders cultural significance as a strong female icon make me feel it would be sad if the momentum generated by the trilogy stops
